چکیده

Abstract. Let V = C and let T := T (V ) ⊗ T (V ∗) be the mixed tensor algebra over V . We characterize those subsets A of T for which there is a subgroup G of the unitary group U(n) such that A = T. They are precisely the nondegenerate contraction-closed graded ∗-subalgebras of T . While the proof makes use of the First Fundamental Theorem for GL(n,C) (in the sense of Weyl), the characterization has as direct consequences First Fundamental Theorems for several subgroups of GL(n,C). Moreover, a Galois connection between linear algebraic ∗-subgroups of GL(n,C) and nondegenerate contraction-closed ∗-subalgebras of T is derived.

Einstein structures on four-dimensional nutral Lie groups

When Einstein was thinking about the theory of general relativity based on the elimination of especial relativity constraints (especially the geometric relationship of space and time), he understood the first limitation of especial relativity is ignoring changes over time. Because in especial relativity, only the curvature of the space was considered. Therefore, tensor calculations should be to...

Maximal Abelian Subalgebras of O N

We consider maximal abelian subalgebras of O n which are invariant to the standard circle action. It turns out that these are all contained in the zero grade of O n. Then we consider shift invariant maximal abelian subalgebras of the zero grade, which are also invariant to a " second shift " map, and show that these are just infinite tensor products of diagonal matrices in the standard UHF pict...

PRIME IDEALS IN CERTAIN QUANTUM DETERMINANTAL RINGS K. R. Goodearl and T. H. Lenagan

The ideal I1 generated by the 2× 2 quantum minors in the coordinate algebra of quantum matrices, Oq(Mm,n(k)), is investigated. Analogues of the First and Second Fundamental Theorems of Invariant Theory are proved. In particular, it is shown that I1 is a completely prime ideal, that is, Oq(Mm,n(k))/I1 is an integral domain, and that Oq(Mm,n(k))/I1 is the ring of coinvariants of a coaction of k[x...

Common Fixed Points and Invariant Approximations for Cq-commuting Generalized nonexpansive mappings

Some common fixed point theorems for Cq-commuting generalized nonexpansive mappings have been proved in metric spaces. As applications, invariant approximation results are also obtained. The results proved in the paper extend and generalize several known results including those of M. Abbas and J.K. Kim [Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 44(2007) 537-545], I. Beg, N. Shahzad and M. Iqbal [Approx. Theory A...
